Moving to Singapore as a founder is relatively straightforward, and takes about **1 month**.

* You'll need to start a Singapore company and apply for an Employment Pass (EP). This costs anywhere from $2.5k-3.5k USD in fees if you use an agency.
* You can travel to Singapore in the meantime and start getting acclimated -- 159 countries have visa-free access to Singapore, there are many serviced apartments or coliving houses you can stay at in the meantime, foreign cards work everywhere, and a 5G SIM costs $20. However, you don't need to be present in Singapore during your application.
* You need to pay yourself an above average salary, and provide evidence that the company will have funds to pay that salary throughout the year. For most people in tech or crypto, that means a salary of at least $5.5k USD/month. So you might need $30-40k in your company account in order to get an EP. (<https://www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permits/employment-pass/eligibility#ep-qualifying-salary>)

You'll need to find an apartment. PropertyGuru is the site where all rentals are listed in Singapore, and you can browse by district, by MRT line, etc. ([https://www.propertyguru.com.sg](https://www.propertyguru.com.sg/)) Rooms in basic apartments within a 20 minute commute from the city centre are about **$1.5k/month USD**, and more lux/high end apartments go for about **$2.2k-3k/month USD**.
